Raising awareness to the mental health and toxic drug crisis!

The Walks
Each walk will be around 44km which is the equivalent to the number of steps needed to remember everyone lost in the first 10 years of the recognition of the opioid crisis.
*The following list is tentative and subject to change as planning progresses. Some locations may be substituted based on support by Councillors and organizations. Route maps to follow
Schedule for 2026:

Wrap-up Event: On August 31, 2026, International Overdose Awareness Day, we will be hosting an event/vigil with speakers from mental health, overdose awareness and harm reduction organizations, as well as providing information for passers-by. An application has been submitted for use of Parliament Hill.
Join us!
Join Greg for a portion of any of his walks. Just a block or two will provide encouragement to continue on but you are welcome to join him for however far you wish to walk. (*Greg will be walking at a pace between 4-5km per hour)
Share your memories
We are not alone living with the tragic loss of a family member or friend to mental health and addiction. We would like you to join us at the end event of any of the walks to remember friends and family that left the world too early and to honour the beauty and joy that they spread while they were here.
Celebrate the victories
Come show the city that there is hope. Celebrate those who battled through mental health and addictions and offer hope to those who are still fighting.
Help us meet our goal
