Raising Awareness to the Mental Health and Toxic Drug Crisis
“STEPS TO REMEMBER 2026”

2026 will mark 10 years since British Columbia became the first province to declare a public health emergency. Also, 10 years ago in 2016, Canada’s national count of deaths due to the opioid crisis began, led by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
In 2026, there will be 10 walks to mark the 10 years since British Columbia became the first province to declare a public health emergency and to mark 10 years since a national surveillance system, led by the Public Health Agency of Canada to track opioid deaths, hospitalizations and emergency department visits.
Every step we take is for someone who should still be here
Every donation helps ensure that they are not forgotten and that the conversation around mental health and addiction continues to grow
Together, we can honour those who we’ve lost and support those who are still fighting

On the Road 4 Mental Health is an Incorporated Not-For-Profit raising awareness to the mental health and toxic drug crisis.

In Memory of Aric and Madeleine
They had so much to offer the world but both lost their battles for mental health, leaving behind loving families, friends and a world that is now empty of their beautiful souls.
